Ed Portley is a massage therapist who is nationally certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (http://www.ncbtmb.com/). He provides massage therapy to a wide range of individuals from various backgrounds. He utilizes techniques that have been proven effective for reducing or eliminating pain and discomfort due to medical conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia and sciatica to name a few.
He is certified in prenatal massage.
He is trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (www.emofree.com). He has completed the advanced level of training and is able to assist individuals who would like to try an alternative technique to help relieve emotional issues. He is an instructor of massage at the National Massage Therapy Institute.
Due to his belief that healing the mind and soul as well as the body, he as now incorporated EFT to his practice. He has used EFT successfully for clients with headaches, heart palpitations and heel pain to name a few.
He has 2 offices available; one located at 7880 Oxford Ave, Philadelphia, Pa 19111 in The Centre for Well Being and at 347 Second Street Pike, Southampton, Pa within Dr Hakushka, Chiropractor.
He was instructed in the art of massage therapy at the National Massage Therapy Institute in Philadelphia (http://www.studymassage.com/) and started his business in January of 2006. He is insured by the American Bodyworks and Massage Professionals (http://www.abmp.com/) . He chose this profession because he enjoys making people pain free and help them to lead healthier lives. His massage allows people more independence and freedom to move around with out any restrictions. He plans to help people to be pain free well into the future.
